Kim Goodyear - Brief Biography
Kim has been involved with the horse industry for over 30 years, having opened her first equestrian facility at the age of 18. Within a year, Kim had 72 horses under her care — the majority being either young horses owned and/or ridden by adult amateur athletes.
Over the years, Kim has had the privilege of having some of the finest Canadian horses under her watchful eye in the disciplines of Dressage and Jumping.
Kim has traveled extensively on both the Dressage and Jumping show circuits as an amateur athlete, owner, groom and athlete/team manager. In recent years, Kim has worked in the role as chef d’equipe at the World Cup Finals and World Equestrian Games.
Her volunteer duties have been extensive and include being the chair of Dressage Canada’s High Performance Committee for 6 years, a member of the Board of Directors for Dressage Canada as well as holding positions within Equine Canada’s sport committees.
She has also worked extensively fundraising for individual athletes, equestrian teams, charity organizations and individuals in the music industry.
